Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Swipe Photo Cleaner (the "App") accesses, uses, and shares information when you use the App and its related website. It describes on-device media processing, app analytics, advertising attribution, purchase verification, and the choices available to you. Your rights depend on the privacy laws that apply in your location.

1. Data We Access

Swipe Photo Cleaner does not require registration, a user account, or personal profile information to function.

To provide its core photo-cleaning functionality, the App may request access to the following on your device:

Photos, videos, and contacts. Processing of photos, videos, and contacts for cleanup features takes place on your device. Their contents are not uploaded to our servers or sent to AppsFlyer.

Analytics and Advertising Attribution

We use AppsFlyer to measure app installations and launches, evaluate advertising performance, help prevent fraud, and improve the service.

Depending on the SDK configuration and your permissions, AppsFlyer may process app and device identifiers, installation and launch information, device model, operating system version, language, technical performance information, and network data. An IP address may be used to determine an approximate location. These records may be associated with an app installation or device identifier.

Tracking Permission

The App requests tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. Only with your permission do we access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and use it to link installations and in-app activity to advertising in apps and on websites operated by other companies.

You can decline tracking or change your choice in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining does not restrict the App's core features. If you decline or tracking is not authorized, IDFA is not collected or used. Processing of other technical data for analytics, fraud prevention, and service operation may continue, subject to any consent requirements under applicable law.

Purchase and Subscription Information

The App sends purchase information to AppsFlyer for purchase verification, analytics, and attribution. This can include product and transaction identifiers, whether a purchase is a subscription or a one-time purchase, trial status, and the store environment. Verification through Apple may also involve purchase amounts and currencies.

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details.

App Operation and First-Open Events

Where app event reporting is enabled, the App sends an installation UUID and operational events to our server. These may include the first opening, onboarding and first-scan milestones, photo-permission status, scan duration and progress, app version, and events showing that a free deletion limit was reached. The installation UUID is a randomly generated identifier for an installation, not a permanent user account or a device serial number. It is also used as Apple's appAccountToken to associate verified purchase notifications with that installation.

Repeated first-open reports for the same installation UUID are counted once. These events describe app operation and do not include the contents of your photos, videos, or contacts.

Crash diagnostics, if any, are handled through Apple's built-in diagnostic mechanisms, such as crash reports submitted voluntarily through iOS settings.

If you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the details of your request.

2. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

We process information to:

Where applicable, we rely on providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service where permitted by law, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent for processing that requires it. Advertising tracking and access to IDFA are subject to your ATT permission. You can withdraw that permission in iOS settings.

3. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We share the information described in this Policy with service providers as needed to operate the App, measure advertising, verify purchases, and maintain our services:

Where configured and permitted by your choices and applicable law, attribution data may also be shared with advertising measurement partners to evaluate campaign performance. We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or as necessary to address fraud and protect the security of the service. The contents of your photos, videos, and contacts are not shared with AppsFlyer.

5. International Data Transfers

AppsFlyer and our other service providers may process the information described in this Policy outside your country of residence. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your country. Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards apply to these transfers. Processing of App Store and diagnostic information by Apple is described in Apple's own privacy information. The contents of your photos, videos, and contacts remain on your device and are not transferred to AppsFlyer.

6. Data Retention

We do not retain your photos or videos on our servers. Data accessed by the App remains on your device and is controlled by iOS permissions. You can revoke Photo Library access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.

Server-side scan, free-limit, and verified Apple event records are generally retained for up to 180 days. Compact installation profiles, event-deduplication records, and aggregate statistics may be retained longer as needed to operate the service, prevent duplicate processing, and address support or legal requirements. AppsFlyer data is subject to the retention settings and processing arrangements applicable to our use of that service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Contact us at the email below to make a request or ask about the information associated with your app installation. We may need sufficient information to locate the relevant records and verify a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

For advertising tracking, you can change ATT permission in iOS settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to opt out of certain advertising-related disclosures or processing. Contact us for assistance with these choices or any state-specific privacy rights.

8. Tracking Technologies and Your Choices

The App uses the AppsFlyer SDK and app or installation identifiers for the analytics and attribution purposes described above. With ATT authorization, this includes IDFA-based attribution across other companies' apps and websites. ATT controls advertising tracking permission; declining it does not necessarily stop all technical or operational data processing.

Browser-based Do Not Track settings are separate from iOS ATT permission and do not change your ATT choice. Use iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to manage tracking permission for the App.

9. Links to External Sites

The App or website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

10. Apple's Role

Apple Inc. is not a party to this Privacy Policy and is not responsible for the App's privacy practices. Apple's own privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
